About the procedure
Arm liposuction removes localized fat deposits from the back and outer upper arm, which often persist despite diet and exercise. The goal is a more defined arm, in proportion with the rest of the body.
It is performed through small incisions placed in discreet areas, such as near the elbow or the armpit. It works best when the skin retains good elasticity to adapt to the new contour. If excess skin predominates, a brachioplasty may be indicated, which Dr. Díaz assesses at the consultation.

Recovery
After the procedure, you will wear compression sleeves or garments for as long as Dr. Díaz advises, and in some cases post-operative lymphatic massages are recommended. Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are common during the first days.
Light activities are usually resumed early, and arm exercise is reintroduced gradually. The contour becomes more defined as swelling subsides over a few months, depending on each case. Follow-up visits track your progress.
How the consultation works
At your first in-person consultation, Dr. Díaz reviews your medical history, assesses fat distribution and skin elasticity on the arms, and talks with you about the contour you would like. With that information, he determines whether liposuction is enough or another option is better suited, and builds a personalized plan.
