Abdominoplasty + Lipo + BBL in Santo Domingo

Comprehensive contouring of the abdomen, waist, and buttocks in a single surgical plan, when the evaluation confirms that combining them is safe. Dr. Díaz defines this at an in-person consultation.

Dr. José Miguel Díaz · Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

About the procedure

This combination brings three procedures together in one plan: abdominoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and, when indicated, repairs the muscle wall; liposuction treats localized fat in areas such as the waist, flanks, and back; and the BBL transfers part of that fat to the buttocks to improve their shape and projection.

They are combined because these areas define the silhouette together: treating them in a single surgery allows the contour to be planned as a whole, with one recovery. However, combining procedures means more time in surgery, so Dr. Díaz assesses in each case whether it is safe to do so or whether the plan should be divided into stages.

Who it is considered for

  • Excess skin and fat on the abdomen, together with localized fat in other areas and a desire to improve the contour of the buttocks.
  • Enough available fat for the transfer.
  • A stable weight, good general health, and no plans for pregnancy in the near term.
  • Pre-operative tests confirming that a combined procedure is appropriate; the final decision is made at the in-person evaluation.

Recovery

Recovery from a combined procedure is usually more demanding than from a single surgery, since the body is healing in several areas at once. It includes wearing a compression garment, post-operative lymphatic massages when Dr. Díaz indicates them, walking early, and avoiding direct pressure on the buttocks during the first weeks.

It is important to have support at home during the first days and to attend every follow-up visit. Returning to work and exercise is gradual and usually takes longer than with a single procedure, depending on each case. The final contour becomes apparent over several months.

How the consultation works

At your first in-person consultation, Dr. Díaz reviews your medical history, assesses the abdomen, the areas with available fat, and the buttocks, and talks with you about your goals. With that information, he determines whether it is safe to perform all three procedures in one surgery or whether staging is advisable, and builds a personalized plan. First-time consultations are held Mondays and Thursdays, 11:00am–2:00pm, first-come, first-served. Our team can guide you and coordinate your visit on WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

Why combine the procedures in one surgery?

The abdomen, waist, and buttocks shape the silhouette together, so planning them as a whole allows for more comprehensive contouring and a single recovery. Even so, the combination is only recommended when the evaluation confirms it is safe for you.

Is it safe to combine three procedures?

It depends on each patient. Dr. Díaz weighs your general health, your pre-operative tests, and the estimated surgical time; if doing it all at once is not advisable, he may recommend carrying out the plan in stages.

Is the recovery longer?

Generally, yes: recovery from a combination is usually more demanding than from a single procedure. Dr. Díaz will explain the care involved and approximate timelines for your case at the consultation.

Can I have it done if I live abroad?

Yes. Many patients come from the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, and we coordinate the process on WhatsApp before your trip. With a combined procedure, the recommended stay in the country is usually longer; Dr. Díaz will tell you how long to plan for.
