About the procedure
This combination brings together mastopexy, which lifts and reshapes the breast and repositions the areola; liposuction, which treats localized fat in areas such as the abdomen, waist, flanks, or back; and the BBL, which transfers part of that fat to the buttocks to improve their shape and projection.
They are combined when a patient wishes to address the bust and body contour in proportion, in one plan and with one recovery. However, adding procedures means more time in surgery, so Dr. Díaz assesses in each case whether it is safe to perform them together or whether the plan should be divided into stages.
Who it is considered for
- Sagging breasts or loss of firmness, together with localized fat in other areas of the body.
- A desire to improve the contour of the buttocks and enough available fat for the transfer.
- A stable weight, good general health, and ideally no plans for pregnancy in the near term.
- Pre-operative tests confirming that a combined procedure is appropriate; the final decision is made at the in-person evaluation.
Recovery
Recovery from a combined procedure is usually more demanding than from a single surgery. It includes wearing a surgical bra and a compression garment, post-operative lymphatic massages when Dr. Díaz indicates them, walking early, and avoiding direct pressure on the buttocks during the first weeks.
It is also recommended to avoid heavy lifting and wide arm movements at first, to have support at home during the first days, and to attend every follow-up visit. Returning to activity is gradual, depending on each case, and the result settles over several months.
How the consultation works
At your first in-person consultation, Dr. Díaz reviews your medical history, assesses the breasts, the areas with available fat, and the buttocks, and talks with you about the balance you would like between bust and body. With that information, he determines whether it is safe to perform the combination in one surgery and builds a personalized plan. First-time consultations are held Mondays and Thursdays, 11:00am–2:00pm, first-come, first-served. Our team can guide you and coordinate your visit on WhatsApp.
Frequently asked questions
Why combine breast surgery and body contouring?
Planning the bust and body together makes it possible to aim for harmonious proportions with a single recovery. The combination is only recommended when the evaluation confirms it is safe for you.
Can implants be added to the mastopexy?
In some cases, when more volume is desired in addition to the lift, implants may be considered. Whether this is advisable within a combined procedure is decided at the in-person evaluation.
Is the recovery more demanding?
Generally, yes, because the body is healing in several areas at once. Dr. Díaz will explain the care involved and approximate timelines for your case at the consultation.
Can I have it done if I live abroad?
Yes. Many patients come from the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, and we coordinate the process on WhatsApp before your trip. Dr. Díaz will tell you how long to plan to stay in the country for post-operative follow-up.
